5 Awesome WordPress Plugins You Need to Install Now

Wordpress

WordPress Plugins are great tools. Without the plugins boosting the performance of your blog, it will be very difficult to generate traffic on the web. WordPress Plugins help enhance your blogging experience as well. Everyone knows about the All in One SEO plugin and WordPress SiteMap plugin. The list below is more fresh. Here are five awesome plugins that guarantee to improve all aspects of your blog:

CommentLuv

Unless you are Guy Kawasaki or Tim Ferris chances are that you need to bait people to comment on your posts. One of the biggest joys of blogging is to receive comments from interested readers. Make your blog irresistible to comment by activating the CommentLuv plugin. This plugin attaches a link to your commenters latest blog post along with his comment – this motivates a person to comment. As this will help him harness more traffic. Personally, every high-comments blog I have visited use the CommentLuv plugin.

SidePosts Widget

This is an awesome plugin if you want to provide exposure to other posts through your sidebar. You can select the category of posts that you want to display. All the posts in your selected category will show up. Furthermore, you can choose to show an excerpt or the full post. You can select the number of posts to show.

Permalink Migration Plugin

Have you been running your blog for a while with the classic month/day/postname permalink structure?

And now realize you could improve the SEO with a better links structure?

But. What about the 404 errors on your indexed links? So you decide to carry the burden of an ineffective permalink structure throughout your blogging career. It is not required, the Permalink migration plugin allows you to redirect every old link to the new post links.

Once you install the plugin, click on the WordPress Permalinks section in the dashboard of your blog. There you can set your new structure and add the old structure in Dean’s plugin. You are finished.

Add to Any

Every pro-blogger will tell you that having a bookmarking feature on your blog is one of the first steps towards a successful blogging career. Let me assure you that you will search all theplugins WordPress has to offer and you still would not find any book-marking plugin like Add to Any. You can choose to make it as compact as you want. Add to Any plugin allows your reader to submit the post to over 100 social sites in a single click.

GreetBox

This is a very intelligent plugin. GreetBox shows a two-line welcome box to your visitors that asks them to subscribe to your feed etc. The smart feature in this plugin is that the welcome message is slightly modified depending on the source from which your traffic has come. For example, if a Digg user clicks through from Digg, they will see a message reminding them to digg your post if they like it. Of course, you can also set a default message without any modification by your visitors referral.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Akismet is a very good and efficient anti-comment SPAM plugin but its available by default in Wordpress. We have tried to keep a list of essential nifty plugins.

Will include Akismet in future posts regarding plugins for WordPress. Thanks

Vivek,

Nice collection of plugins. I just wanted to throw my plugin into the mix here, if I may.
