Is this code working for Indian Customers? Because mostly, such codes don’t work for Indian customers. Just confirm this!
Right Rohit. Although, such orders do not work for Indian customers as rightly pointed out by you.
There are ways you can bypass the same, although not recommended this method works, one of my friends used the same and is now after 7 months still using dreamhost after purchasing it for $10.
You can use a proxy. Not an online proxy but a freeware which can be downloaded and allows anonymous surfing by hiding your IP address. In this case, as your IP address is hidden, you can safely choose any other country and it would work.

A small doubt: Is it okay If we put Indian Residential Address after using an US proxy server? Won’t it create any problem?
You can put any US address, even some arbitrary one. No one checks it, you’ll have to select US as country so you cant select Delhi from State.
I use justhost.com as my domain and space provider. They also had provided a code for 50% discount. I could use it even though I am an Indian customer. In fact, I found that international hosting companies provide much better services and much better support than many Indian ones.
I am on HostGator currently and let me tell you that its support has been outstanding. International companies are very professional and they have time bound support system wherein they value the time. In India, its a chalta rahe attitude.
Same, I’m on HostGator too, and I love their service. This Dreamhost offer sounds good to be true, I wonder if there’s any catch. Sometimes you are bound to a host if they don’t let you transfer your domain elsewhere. Anyhow I’ll have to think about this, because the main thing is moving.. my HG account has over 50 sub-domains, loads of SQL dbs and domains. So it’s not just file transfer. What about you? I just purchased HG hatchling plan this november so going for dreamhost is out of question for me. I love HG and because they have standard control panel its easy to navigate.
I also don’t wanna adjust myself to the new control panel of dreamhost and moving all settings gives me a headache. Although it’ll take no more than 3 hours. I just don’t wanna do it.
HG is good at the support and service so I don’t think I’ll betray them till the time I am in a financial crunch
