See results of PING and TRACERT in GUI

Ping and Tracert are used by network administrators intensively to test a domain and to find out more information about the host and various other things related to the domain. Traditionally, Ping and Tracert are commands that can be run using commands in command line in Windows.

If some of you can recall, this is also the tool used by customer support of various ISP’s to help you resolve the hosts when you are facing problems connecting to the internet.

Its the familiar DOS interface and there’s nothing unique or exciting about it, to make things more interesting, I found out about this tool which lets you do PING and TRACERT in GUI (Graphical User Interface).

Ping Terminal can be downloaded from this download page. Its a freeware and about 64KB in size.

How many of you have tried using PING to check the status of a host or domain? Do you think Ping is useful or its just another command with not much practical use. We’d like to know.
