I found http://linksutra.com the best one as not only you can send free sms without ads but you do not have to reload page again and again. gmail users can get their mail alerts in sms too for free.

Hello folks..

@vaibhav, thanks alot for doing a detailed review of our SMS service. I'm about to create a press section on AdoMado.com and this is the first review link going in there :)

We did toyed with the idea on allowing sender's ID in the "from" field. Later, decided to go against it because...
- SMS vendors do not allow random ID's in the "from" field.
- Users can abuse this functionality (imagine someone getting SMS's with "Priyanka Chopra" in the "from" field).

However, to make sure our users know that who sent them the SMS, we tag the mobile number along with the SMS. This mobile number is verified during our registration process and cannot be faked.

I am myself a linux user. We are working towards a universal-platform installer which will not even work on Linux/Mac but also contain the AdoMado functionality for Google Chrome. Feel free to send in suggestions on what technology we can use for such an installer. Tweet to us at @_adomado

I'm glad that everyone liked our SMS service.

Thanks Vaibhav and everyone else :)

I am jealous here! I have tried countless distros. Mint, Fedora, Ubuntu, Suse, DSL etc but I am not able get them to work. Some issue or the other always comes up. At times its Driver problem, application availability, learning curve, the dreaded Terminal.

I feel Linux hates me! I have given all hopes. :(

I did try it but did not redeem any as I don't think I should spends Rs.1000 only to avail a Rs.200 discount when I do not need the thing at the moment. I hope they work but will confirm once I make a purchase.

I think they provide coupon code to enter at the time of checkout at the vendor's website.

And since I use Ubuntu Linux I can't install their software. Anyways probably wouldn't have done it on Windows either :)
